Right in time for the main bloom of the rhododendrons, the RHODO 2010 in Westerstede opens its gates from 15 to 24 May 2010.

Sometimes small like dwarfs, sometimes towering high up, but always with tempting colours and graceful flowers – more than one hundred different types of these fascinating plants are going to turn the whole town into a gorgeous scenery of rhododendrons.

You will be enchanted from a great symphony of different colours and blooms which you allow to immerse into a dazzling sea of flowers.

During the time of the RHODO 2010 the whole historical city centre of Westerstede will be a sea of flowers.

More than 10,000 square metres of flowerage attract visitors from near and far. Furthermore, the competitive exhibition of the regional tree nurseries is waiting for you in the rhododendron pavilion. Experts will be there to inform about new cultures and rare types of rhododendron, they will help you with inspiration and advice. By car: From Münster, take motorway A 1 (Hansalinie) to Ahlhorner Kreuz, then motorway A 29 (Oldenburg), then motorway A 28 towards Leer/Emden, exit Westerstede. From Hamburg via motorway A 1 to Delmenhorst-Ost, then motorway A 29 (Oldenburg), then motorway A 28 towards Leer/Emden, exit Westerstede.

By train: Oldenburg/Westerstede-Ocholt/Leer. Leave the train in Westerstede-Ocholt and take the bus to Westerstede.
